Short description
Players embark on expeditions into uncharted territories, battling monsters, gathering essential items, completing quests, and striving to survive. In between excursions, they develop their own base and interact with NPCs and traders.
Idea
The game revolves around exploring the world while engaging in dynamic combat and continuous looting. Each gaming session transports players to unfamiliar locations inhabited by hostile fauna, ranging from simple creatures to anomalous monsters. The primary objective is to explore these locations for resources and better gear. Improving weapons and equipment enhances combat effectiveness and survival chances, while resources are vital for base development. Base progression allows access to better gear, weapons, ammunition, and more lucrative quests, as well as enhancing passive character abilities.
Lore
Set in an alternative universe influenced by quantum physics advancements, the game's story begins around present times (2014-2024), where a scientific experiment gone awry unleashes anomalies known as "GROZA." These anomalies, akin to storm-like phenomena with a blood-red hue, distort space, spawn unprecedented monsters, and alter reality. Humanity seeks refuge in underground bunkers protected from GROZA, relying on Stalkers - individuals tasked with venturing to the surface to gather resources and find ways to stop the anomalies. Players assume the role of one such Stalker.
Map
The game world is presented as a global map divided into sectors, each with unique landscapes, structures (villages, military bases, research facilities), and fauna, all reminiscent of post-Soviet aesthetics. Except for the player's base, all locations are procedurally generated.
